Oral History Productions USA – Europe
provides global support to create an archive of oral history interviews and transform the
recordings into edited multimedia documents, exhibits, a film, a book, into Web sites,
performances, teaching tools, and much more.

In our oral history seminars and training
workshops you can learn the art of listening and interviewing, and learn
oral history methodology and interviewing techniques.
We also offer interactive classes,
encouraging participants to create memoirs, films, exhibits, publications and artwork,
based on personal stories.
We support hospice nurses and those close to
hospice patients who are interested in incorporating oral history listening skills into
their invaluable work.
We work with new immigrants and refugees.
Together we explore history, culture and ethnicity to foster understanding across
cultures, belief systems, gender and other divides.
Our autobiography groups and support groups for
seniors meet several times a week in New York City.

We customize each project according to your
wishes and budget, using the format that best fits your needs:

A basic life history interview on video (VHS or
DVD) - up to 90 minutes - can be filmed in half a day and delivered, slightly edited, for
$2.500.
A basic life history interview, delivered on audio
(tape, CD or mini-disk), with very basic cuts and edits – up to two hours – can
be produced for $1.000.
If you want to tell the story of an entire family,
a business, an elder community, or a group of former classmates, we
will develop a budget together with you.
Autobiography groups and support groups for
seniors meet once a week, in New York City, for 90 minutes. Participation is free for
persons over 65 with Medicare and supplemental insurance (AARP). Co-payment for all others
is $18.
If you want to write your own memoir and
don’t know where to start, we coach you in person and by phone, and provide
ongoing support.
